Betsey Elias is an artist and designer based in India. She finds inspiration everywhere from fashion magazines and 2000s films to everyday moments that often go unnoticed. She began illustrating in 2020 during the pandemic, and what started as a creative outlet has since become an integral part of her creative practice. Her work is rooted in whimsy and is often playful, melodramatic, and intentionally a little messy. Through expressive lines, bold colour, and character-driven storytelling, she creates illustrations that celebrate personality, emotion, and the joy of imperfection.
