Betsey Elias is an artist and designer based in India. Her work is rooted in whimsy, drawing inspiration from the little things around her, fleeting moments, nostalgia, and the playful absurdity of everyday life. She began illustrating in 2020 during the pandemic, and what started as a creative outlet has since become an integral part of her creative practice. Her work is playful, melodramatic, and intentionally a little messy, brought to life through expressive lines, bold colour, and character-driven storytelling. She creates illustrations that celebrate personality, emotion, and the joy of imperfection.
